General Academic Calendars for UPC Doctoral Studies

Admission days

Admission is open continuously. Unless otherwise stated, admissions decided before April allow students to enroll in the current enrolment term, whereas admissions decided after April have validity for the following enrolment term.

Enrolment days

New students should contact doctorat.computacio at upc.edu

For already-enrolled students, the administrative staff will send them an email around mid-September with the specific dates of the enrollment period (usually between the second and third week of October).

Annual evaluation (2023/24)

The annual evaluation affects all students enrolled in the program.

Students: all documentation must be submitted by July 15th, 2024
PhD advisors: evaluation reports must be submitted by July 18th, 2024

Research Plan Public Presentation (2023/24)

The public defense of the research plan is for students in their second year of studies.

Enrolment: together with annual enrolment.
Ordinary period:
- Documentation due: June 14, 2024
- Public presentation: July 1 - 15, 2024
Extraordinary period, if authorized:
- Documentation due: February 19, 2024
- Public presentation: February 26 - March 4, 2024

Deadline extension/temporary leave applications

At enrolment time or at least two months before the deposit deadline.
