Organization

This doctoral progamme in Computing is organized by the Software Department (Departament de Llenguatges i Sistemes Informàtics, CS) at Technical University of Catalonia (UPC).

The Academic Committee of the doctoral program has the following assigned tasks:

Represent the basic units that promote the doctoral program at the Doctoral Committee of the University.
To keep an updated list of the acadeimic staff linked to the doctoral program that according to the criteria and the regulations, is considered qualifyed for theses tutorship.
To keep up to date information about the doctoral program and ensure a correct external promotion and dissemination of the studies.
Admitting students (which includes the definition of the criteria for selection).
Establish, if necessary, the complementary courses for admitted students .
Assign a tutor to the students and, if necessary, a director or thesis supervisor .
To monitor the correct periodic evaluation of students in each of the different processes.
Perform the evaluation of the supervised research periods.
Maintain contact with the Doctoral Committee of the University with regard to thesis process prior to the thesis defense (submission of thesis, external reporting, committe proposal and nomination, etc. )
Send a copy of the thesis to each member of the committe appointed for the evaluation of the thesis.
Ensuring compliance with proper certification and accreditation processes established by the competent higher education authorities.

The members of the Academic Committe are:
