Thesis Description
Variability modelling is an approach fostering software reuse and rapid customization of systems. Not surprisingly, researchers have started to explore the integration of service-oriented systems and variability modelling to support run-time evolution and dynamism in different domains. Integrating variability modelling and service-orientation is seen promising to achieve both flexibility and adaptability. This Master Thesis will develop a systematic review analyzing the current approaches that tackle integration of service-oriented systems and variability models. This review will be complemented with some first steps to enlarge a goal-oriented approach, the i* framework which is gaining popularity to model service-oriented systems, with variability modelling capabilities.
