Thesis Description
Motion Capture is a powerful technique for creating animations of virtual characters. The aim of this thesis project is
to develop new algorithms for facilitating the often tedious task of creating character animations. The project
includes an in-depth analysis of existing methodologies for motion capture to determine which ones are more
suitable depending on whether the animation involves the whole body or some specific parts, such as facial
animation. The final goal is to develop new algorithms and techniques so as to automatize as much as possible the
process between the motion capture sessions and the final animation.
