Thesis Description
Mobile devices, and especially smartphones and tablets are more and more taking the place of portable computers in everyday's work.
With the development of new CPUs that sport powerful graphics cards, some applications such as games, that were restricted to higher end hardware, start to be available in such devices. The objective here is to develop an application that is able to render a volumetric dataset with an acceptable refresh framerate in a mobile device. Special care will be taken in order to make the application efficient and usable, and will use the cutting edge technologies currently
available in order to overcome the limitations in memory capabilities of current hardware.
